Operation Squeegee will run from July 1st - 15th, and will have lots of events and publicity associated with it, as well as a vendor merchandise area with donated items for sale!
Funds raised through Operation Squeegee will go to The National Wildlife Federation. Funds that are donated to the federation will support the following efforts:
- Development and deployment of the National Wildlife Federation's Gulf Coast Surveillance Teams, a volunteer network that is being organized to monitor the coast for wildlife impacted by the oil spill. Beyond the initial surveillance needed, this effort will then shift to long term volunteer restoration programs.
- Restoration of vulnerable nesting and breeding grounds, as well as other delicate ecosystems found throughout the Gulf Coast for water birds, sea turtles and other animals.
- Public education about the oil spill and its impacts on wildlife, including our online efforts at www.nwf.org/oilspill and informing the press and others about the impacts the oil spill is having on coastal communities and wildlife.
- Policy work at the national and state level to support restoration of habitat in the Gulf Coast and better protection of our waters and coastlines. ~ As seen on the Operation Squeegee Blog.
Although I have closed `*~Zanzibar creationZ~*`, for the time being, I could not pass up an opportunity to make something for such a worthwhile cause as this.
My items will only be for sale at the Merchants Area for the duration of the fundraiser and with %100 of sales going towards the National Wildlife Federation. See below each picture for details of what is included. And make sure to click the pictures for a larger view =)

I would like to thank Lucien Brentano and Rubystarlight Writer for their help in putting these outfits together. Lucien provided the script to make your Wellies 'squelch' and Rubystarlight provided the poses that animate the Octopus and Turtles. Without the help of these two amazing creators, this little outfit of mine would not have been a success.

Both outfits are from Luna's Boutique. The cupcake dress (above) comes with the cute tiny hat. And if you, or your friends, touch the cupcakes on the dress you get given one. The clown outfit (below) comes in a full avatar set - skin, shape, eyes, hair, red nose, jumpsuit with cuff bottoms and fuzzy buttons and slip on shoes with pompoms on the toes. (Shape, hair, eyes, nose and pants cuffs not shown).
To make the doll experience more 'real' I added the Puppet Doll AO from ## CI ##. It has 5 different stand poses; 2 of which are shown above, a run, ground sit, object sit and flying animations.
