Maternity Worldwide Charity

Sally Soleil, owner of Fierce Designs, is heading off to cycle across Ethiopia and give her services as an RL midwife to those less fortunate and help the charity - Maternity Worldwide.

After being chosen as a Runner Up in the "One in a Million Designers Challenge" Sally decided to sell a limited quantity of these Limited Editions to raise funds to go towards her fundraising site - Just Giving

Shown below is the Breakfast outfit but if you follow the link above to Fierce Designs you can also find the other two limited editions - Devine and The Midwife.

In Ethiopia as many as 1 in 7 women currently die in pregnancy or childbirth. Each one of these deaths is a tragedy that has a devastating effect on the family (many young children also die following the death of their mother) and hampers the community's development. Most of these lives could be saved by relatively simple, cheap measures. Maternity Worldwide is working hard to save lives in childbirth.

So what IS in a number? Well I know what's in 22769 for the guys - all sorts of yummy goodies.

I love this double jumper with scarf accessory. It's very casual but at the same time screaming "I'm sexy and I know it!"

Live life to it's fullest and look fabulous is this ensemble.

The options for this outfit are great if you like to mix and match. The jumper can be worn alone or with the shirt underneath. Wear the button up shirt on it's own. Wear both but only the jump cuffs or both cuffs or only the shirt cuffs. The choice is yours.

Mesh, Mesh and more Mesh!

What started out as boredom and flicking through the marketplace just checking out what mesh stuff was out there, lead to me putting together an entire mesh outfit ! Well - minus the pants.

I love the look of this wooly dress. You could wear with boots and leave the tights off if you really wanted to. The hair - LOVE! Even if it is a mens hair, I like the look of it on me! And the boots! Oh. Em. Gee. I stumbled across these on the marketplace and found it very hard to stop myself from buying the entire colour collection. I think I'm in love!

Out having a wander tonight I came across this cute little seaside shopping complex with a few stores scattered along the boardwalk. One store in particular was .( bewildebeest ). Sadly they are closing their doors on January 16th. But good news for all your jewellery lovers out there - they have MASSIVE reductions all ALL stock.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this head dress. Best part is it comes in a major fatpack of black chains, gold chains and silver chains and about 10 different gem choices. For $L10 you can't go wrong!

The minute little prims on this set would have sent me crazy trying to place neatly - but attention to detail was paramount here. Each earring has 8 mini gems inlaid into the silver block, as does the necklace and ring (not shown) and his was a Gatcha item so only $L1 ...... :O GASP!

I love these little mini fan pieces. With the heat wave Australia is going through right now - I could sure use some extra fans. This set in particular is in a nice neutral tone so will go well with lots of items of clothing. Again a Gatcha item but there are other colours. Come try your luck!

This week's outfit just sorta fell into my lap without me trying too hard to look for it. WIN! And while yes some of you will say peach, others will say apricot.....I see coral! *Makes shifty eyes at you all*

Now when I say fell into my lap, I mean - I received a notice that Epic had put out new group gifties but I had been so caught up in my crazy addiction to breedable cats (KittyCatS) that I hadn't been around to check them out. I had just finished doing my blog post for week 1 and decided to go take a peek. Look out now - the colours are JUST WHAT I NEEDED!!!!! Just to be a tad cheeky I found a cute little pair of panties from insanya and check out the writing....yup that's right, it too is in coral colouring!

I'm a huge fan of *Epic*'s Elephant Chapkas and can be found annoying my friends by shoving my trunk in their faces. Good Times. But this Monkey trump(et)s my Elephant. Oh I crack myself up sometimes. It's ever so sad.

Nardcotix is having a major 70% store wide sale. I TP'd in 'just to check it out' which of course meant I was going to spend money! make sure you get tot eh store quick though as this sale is only on until January 9th.

As soon as I spotted the white jeans I knew I had to have them, and only for $L37, SCORE!. As a fan of white jeans I am always on the look out for good quality ones. I was in luck today. Just as I was about to leave I spotted a cute little shirt to accompany my jeans - only $28L, don't mind if I do.

Not only do they make womens ones, but they make a pair in mens wear (also only $L37) as well. HORRAY!!!! Men in white jeans = smoking hot!

Doomsday Event

I was slightly late to the party on this one. But it's still on for the remainder of today (January 6th) so make sure you pop on over and grab some great gifts! The Doomsday Event is a small shopping complex with some great brands offering gifts in Christmas Stockings just inside their store doors. All you gotta do is click on the stocking and when it asks if you've been good - well hopefully you say yes ( SI ), otherwise - no presents for you!

These are just a couple of the goodies you can get there.

Just a bit of fiddling needed with the prim on the bottom of the shirt to get it to fit right. It either covered the tag on the bottom of the shirt or stuck out at weird angles. So prim placement abilities needed for adjusting this one!

This cute little outfit is an all in one. And bonus - the top comes with bra in the layer or seperates so you can wear the lacey shirt without the bra if you're feeling daring. Or wear your own bra underneath.

What a way to start the year! Blog some fantastic newness!!!!!

Firstly - This outfit just screams "I Love my Linden Balance!" The skin only cost me $50L. The hair I found after visiting an old favourite hair store I hadn't been to in a while. I was helping out a friend and went TPing all across the globe, ended up at D!va and there is new group gifts. HURRAH! Best thing is it comes with an options to have no pony tail over the shoulder at the click of a button! Last but not least - Fifty Linden Friday Boots!

I can't decide if I want to pick up the ruffles of my dress and go skipping through the long grass, or sit in front of the mirror and ask in the beauty of this headpiece. Why not both! Even though I told her it wasn't going to work - seeing the end design on this dress floored me. Job well done Sanura!

Sometimes less is more. These have to be an all time favourite pair of pantyhose with built in panties for modesty. But this jacket! 22769 you have outdone yourself on this one. I didn't want anything else to overshadow the jacket so simply stockings it is!

Talk about adding a touch from everyone. Each layer comes from someone completely different to the next but I love this look. Very school teacher-ish, but with a touch of flair with the yummy mesh boots from Maitreya.

Snowball Hunt at Pulse / Snatch City

I love hunts and interactive games, especially when they are put on by Ivey and Rob. So today was a super special day when I logged on to be greeted with "Have some balls!" I had to giggle. Ivey sure is a laugh at times, her reasoning behind letting me see a sneak peek at the hunt items was because she knows all too well what I am like at hunts and finding things (may or may not have run through "The Flesh Game" like a bull at a gate with Ivey and Sanura running behind me yelling SLOW DOWN!!!!). Through word of mouth that I was sneak peeking Ivey's Snowballs for the hunt I also received a few extra goodies from other stores participating. Now if you want to do the hunt yourself - it is spread out over 2 sims and starts tomorrow \o/. Take your ride to Sn@tch Main Store to start there. I've included the poster for the hunt at the top of this post so you know what to look for outside the stores participating. but enough waffling on - here are a few select items from a couple of the stores participating. A Hunting We Will Go

It's Hunting Season Again! but then again, when is it NOT hunting season in SL? I have a little mixture of goodies from different stores and hunts today.

The first hunt is the 'Bizarre Behaviour Hunt' which is on now and through till Janurary over at -siss boom-. The store has 14 different items in this hunt but I have just a few of those to show you today.

The skin and dress above are both different items you can find in the hunt. What you need to look for is a small grey face mask. You can also get the below second skin which is slightly paler, as well as the jeans and top outfit.

Keep your eyes out for this handy little white cardigan. Perfect to put over the top of just about any shirt or dress to add a cute extra layer.

Now something for the guys. 22769 is participating in the "A Depraved and Desolate Winter Hunt". You'll be looking for a small hockey puck and your gift - this fantastic hoodie! hunt is on now through till January 15th.

Last but certainly not least is the "Peace on Earth Hunt". If you're looking for some cute and christmasy you'll want to grab the gift from [Sleeping Koala] - such a cute little red and white number with a multitude layer options so you can mix it up.

Also from the POE Hunt are these sexy white winter boots from FIERCE DESIGNS. This hunt finishes on January 3rd so make sure you get in quick.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

Being an Australian, I have never witnessed a white Christmas. So I just love how I can enjoy christmas however I like it in SL.

This cute little wintery outfit is from ...:::Beautiful Dirty Rich:::... and comes in a stack of colours. I love how cute and playful it is without being overdone with 'fluffy' cuffs and collars everywhere.

The one great thing I love about this pack - it comes with EVERYTHING. Yup - EVERYTHING. It even has neko attachments to match the outfit should you be so inclined!

And boots. Now we should all know by now that I have a weakness for shoes. I think I will be buying everything in brown to match these boots for a while.

It's always nice to receive blogger review packages that make you smile. This one made me smile for a whole other reason though. When I saw the notice come in the owner of .:SS:. Spearsong described loving his jeans so much that I could just imagine the cheesy grin on his face so I kinda had to try on the jeans straight away. Normally I file the blog review packages into a folder and get to them a day or so later. Not this time.

It's Frosty Out!

As much as I like all black outfits. Sometimes you just need to break it up a little and add a splash of colour. So that's exactly what I did with this all black number from -siss boom-. I've become quite attached to all thing high-waisted lately so these pants are a treat. The outfit has sculpted cuffs and a turtleneck but I chose to leave the turtle neck off and add some colour with this scarf from Zaara.

Zaara also has these adorable little slip on's and they match the scarves. Couldn't ask for more. Since I was all rugged up I went out hunting for some nice scenic wintery places and found Alirium. GORGEOUS doesn't begin to describe it. You really have to go look for yourself.

Shopping on a budget

Just a little blog with a heap of pictures for m little shopping trip today. I was a tad bored and decided to do a 'shop on a budget' theme. For this post I'll do one for the guys. I'll just apologise now for the lack of continuity in the backgrounds in my pictures today. My graphics card was being funky for some reason!

I managed to put this outfit together for $L602. that was including buying a $L250 hair that I reused in the next outfit. Hair always seems to be the most expensive so keep your eyes open for those sales.

All of these goodies, except the hair, were found at two rather neat little discount areas. The first being SERAPHIM. A room with a bunch of ' for sale' boards that different stores put an item out...FOR FREE.

Simply head on over to SERAPHIM (LM at the bottom) join the group at the group joiner then wander the room and touch the boards with items that you might like. All completely free!

Next stop was the XYROOM Discount area. Whilst I didn't check out the cost of EVERYTHING there, I believe it's all under $L100. I picked up a heap of things but didn't include them all here. I'll save them for another post.

So with my new outfits complete it was time to track down a hair. I think I went to about 8 different mens hair stores and it seemed pretty average to pay between $L200 and $L270 for a standard pack of hair that included 4 - 5 shades. I settled on this awesome little number with hat included from [Shag]. The hair comes in two versions, one with 'bangs' and one without (shown).

So all in all not a bad little shopping trip when the second outfit cost me $L434 (taking out the cost of the eyes and hair as I used them in both). It's very easy to get things cheap, that are good quality. You just need to know where to look.

Modest Mesh

A very quick blog post as I have totally fallen in love with the new mesh hairs from /Wasabi Pills/. Since I was feeling in a bit of a dark mood I decided to grab the claws made fr the Werewolf avatar (stay tuned for this in a future blog post).

To top of off my look I decided to go with a skin from a store I have recently become to love - *Heartsick*. I'm loving the cute little detail around the eyes on this skin. Ironic

I was 'trying' to sort out my inventory the other night and came across the awesome halloween inspired snowglobe home that Isabeal Jupiter was kind enough to give to me as a gift. I put it aside ready to do a blog post for it and then promptly got sidetracked and forgot =( So I found it ironic that the day I log in ready to get to blogging her snowglobe that I find yet another gift from her aptly titled 'Ironic'.

So yes I am slightly late with the halloween blogging - however! - With a quick modification the halloween house is simply an old eerie house in amongst the trees. When I say modification, I removed the jack-o-lantern and rat from the front door stop. Simple as that.

This gorgeous little house is actually inside the 'snowglobe' with the inner walls of the globe looking like stormy clouds that move around the sky. There is ample room around the house for you to remove the trees and add your own, or even just add to what is there. There's even enough room out back for a pool!

Inside is actually bigger than it looks from first glance outside. With a nice big open living area downstairs and a cute little loft bedroom upstairs.

So with my new ironic hipster inspired tunic, I'm all ready to get decorating and move into my new little home.....if only I could find a place to put it (sorry to those shopping at Somnia today if they looked up and saw a huge globe floating above the store, and Sanura I PROMISE I cleaned up after myself!)

Somnia Passion

Need a bit of passion in your SLife? Looking for a new place to call home? Why not combine the pair and get yourself the Passion Sky Box from Somnia.

This cute little two story sky box comes complete with furniture. Or you can rez out just the house and decorate with your own furniture. All up the house is 163 prims unfurnished or 303 prims furnished (with the Somnia basic furnishings). Mind you the furniture items included are all copy so you can rez out multiples of them where needed.

I chose to leave it minimal and just threw out some cushions in the sunken area of the lower floor. Nice relaxing chat with the fireplace in the background.

Or get comfy with the corner chairs! Somnia even includes little accessories like the cigarettes and ashtray for those smokers out there. The little touches in furnishings make a difference I feel.

Upstairs has room enough for a bedroom area AND a bathroom and comes complete with a room divider if you want to seperate the two areas, or make a change room.

Now I chose to add in my own furnishings for the bathroom area and completed my little look with some cute accessories I was passed in a Bloggers Review pack from ::NzuriHouse::, alongside Exposeur's Blood Lust Tub.

A quaint little sky box for those that want something more than a rectangle one room home. Also a big thank you to Jynxi - the only person alive at the same time as me on SL (well on my friends list at least) that was able to come be a body for the pics in my little Passion Sky Box.

Once Upon A Time.....

This was one of the many wonders I found during my search for the Sleepy Hollow inspired dress (more to come on that - I finally have the dress!).

The first stop on my journey was Evie's Closet. An absolute wonderland of magical, fairytale inspiring gowns and accessories. If you haven't been there - you MUST add it to your To Do List.

I really don't want to detract from the stunning gown with matching Collar & Crown (sold seperately - but with all matching colours to the different variety of colours this dress comes in) so I'm hoping the photos do all the talking for me.

All I can think of when I wear this ensemble is Once Upon A Time - The Evil Queen. I feel a little Lana Parrilla at the moment. I don't know why, I just do. probably because it's one of my favourite shows at the moment. But obviously I have a little more ....... hmmm .... 'niceness' .... to me with the wings and delicate touches of flowers on the accessories. Evangeline Miles really does go all out with her designs and I'm so glad she does!

As do most of my random moments......todays mission started with a plurk!'

Some how, some where I stumbled upon pictures of Sleepy Hollow movie costumes and it all went downhill from there. So like I do - I ventured to plurk to ask if anyone knew of a creator that had made the gorgeous dress that Christina Ricci wore in the movie. Apparently having a random cleanout of your plurk friends list and narrowing it down to 60 odd people leaves very little in the way of getting a response. Oops, my bad! OH SANUUUUUURRRRRAAAAA....... please replurk my plurk because I 'KNOW'you have a huge amount of creators in your list *bats eyelashes*. She's the best!

Sanura's replurk lead to a few suggestions so off I toddled to a list of stores in search of this dress. I was on a mission and NOTHING was going to stop me! First stop - Evie's Closet. Oooo would you look at that cute crown and collar set, what was I here for again? yeah, nothing is gonna stop me, huh?!

After traipsing around Evie's Closet and buying NOTHING that I actually went there for (blog to come soon on that spending spree!) I went to a few other stores and ended up in Dilly Dolls. Shame on me for never having shopped there before! Now this entire time, I might add, Sanura and I are in a skype conversation and I'm rambling randomly on little things I find and she happens to mention that she knows Dilly Dolls is having a sale at the moment.....and that she makes awesome shoes. Bad combination of words in one sentence - Shoes & Sale!

So there I am....standing in a room FULL of shoes...and they are all 60% off. Oh which ones to choose? Hell, I'm just gonna buy one of EVERYTHING! Not to mention buying one pair of shoes twice and then SL eating my delivery - But the awesome brain behind Dilly Dolls, Miss Oriana Kuhr, was ever so kind and helpful in fixing up my blonde moment, and I got my shoes redelivered!

Now I had 3 neat little packages of shoes. BUT - here is the best part ladies - each pair comes in 8 different colours AND with the options of changing soles, straps and tinting......the colour combinations are endless! A corset dress & god knows how many pairs of shoes later I head home completely forgetting about the dress I was in search for. I start unpacking and all of these new goodies overwhelms me to the point of needing blog tension release.

There I am, trying on all my newness and Sanura's awesome brain goes into overdrive telling me I need new horns to go with my new outfit! Newbie Style Challenge II

I participated in this last year and had a heap of fun so I had to take up the Newbie Style Challenge Part II again this year.

Now I could have made a brand new account and used some of the stores that have free gifts for accounts under 30 days old. I wanted to actually make sure I HAD to spend money to set up an account so I broke out some newb accounts that I made simply to secure my name when the 'First name only' Resident accounts were started. There were covered in dust and cobwebs from never being used though so it was a definitely a big challenge.

So I've taken my SL break and have recently rejoined the masses on the grid. I was debating on whether I wanted to start blogging again....and look out - SL now has mesh and Rors has fallen madly in love with all the new goodies she can find.

So this is a very simple post to get me back in the game. I have a few posts lined up ready to throw at you over the next few days so keep your eyes peeled.

For now I leave you with my latest addition to my endless folder of avatars I seem to be collecting. the Unicorn avatar is a full set (tail not shown in this picture). I found the "Violent Seduction - Kirin (fat pack)" on the marketplace and instantly said to myself, 'I must have this!' and so I did. Much to my surprise, because I clearly did not read the entire description properly in my haste to add this to my purchases, the pack includes 5 different Unicorn avatar packs. There's Green, Teal, Pink, Purple and Yellow - and all for $1000L. BONUS!

So as with any new avatar purchase I had to have new hair and clothes so it was over to Sn@tch for my new skirt and top (top comes in a pack with jeans!) and then off to .ploom. for some awesome new hair. I apologise for the lack of names at this point as I am not logged in to Sl to check and my memory is failing me =( but I shall update later.

I gave up a long time ago. I used to think I was strong. I used to think I was able to get over it and move on. My friends tell me I am strong and I can do it. So I smile and put on a brave face, put one foot in front of the other and take the steps to move on with my life. I've let go

SL is a place where you can let yourself go, be something other than what you are in RL. But never lose sight of that fact that behind every avatar is a real person with real feelings and emotions. The endless ups and downs of relationships in SL is enough to crush a persons soul.

And yes that is me.

Well if we want to technical it would be BBA.

Now be honest...who is scratching their chin wondering what BBW stands for? For those that don't know, it stands for 'Big Beautiful Woman' (some say Buxom Beautiful, Big Buxom...etc etc). So often we see blogs with all the pictures with what is apparently the SL version of a model. Stick thin, no hips, legs from here to Timbucktoo and ether no boobs, or huge ones. I'm not one to judge on what is right or wrong with our avatar looks, each to their own opinions. I also know there are a few blogs scattered around that feature the larger sizes. Wear Gray Market is up and running and I'm late with my blog reviews ..... eeps. But I have good reason! As most of you would know I have helping Sanura with the set up and organisation of Wear Gray, along with - doing my own releases for my store, participating in hunts, setting up my own store at Wear Gray and being a blogger for Wear Gray. Can anyone say bite more than you can chew? But it's all worth it in the end.

Now Wear Gray for a Day in Second Life was started by Sanura Snowpaw last year after the tragic passing of her RL cousin to brain cancer. Sanura heard about Wear Gray in RL and wanted to do something in SL to help the cause. This year she decided to go BIG. With a full sim wide Market with over 100 creators all joining together to create exclusive items, with all proceeds going towards the charity organisation 'The American Brain Tumor Association'.

Wear Gray for a Day isn't just about the colour gray. This post sure proves that. Our brains are sometimes referred to as 'Gray Matter'. So the play on words - Wear Gray for a Day - doesn't mean everything has to be gray. The designers were asked to make a couple of exclusive items that are only going to be available at the Wear Gray Market and it was great to see lots of colour flourishing the sim. I was lucky enough to have a few blog reviews passed my way. So enjoy the colour festivities, pop over to the Market when you can and show your support. Every little linden makes a difference.

Having an early access to the Wear Gray Market meant I was able to do a bit of hunting before the crowds. I was pleasantly pleased with all my little goodies from the hunt. And happy with myself that I picked up about 40 new items to wear.....but also that each one of those items I purchased - the proceeds are going to the Wear Gray Fundraiser. It's a Squeegee Mash Up

By now, if you haven't heard the buzz around the grid of Operation Squeegee, I think you need to poke your head out of your turtle shell or from under your rock and take a look around. It's a buzz all over the blogs and across plurk. I think my plurk in particular features something about OpSquee in every second post =D

Today was bloggers day at the Operation Squeegee Merchants Area. Now while I am on the books as a Merchant Wrangler and a Merchant showcasing designs there, I couldn't resist the urge to jump in with the bloggers and grab a few things that had caught my eye as I watched others setting up. So here is a bit of a mash up of a few of my favourite things.

These cute Tees are from *Dreams*. All colours shown above are available at the fundraiser. With cute little critters on the front and a larger sized one on the back of the shirt. Featuring the Dragonfly, Whale, Dolphin and Praying Mantis. They are unisex too \o/ and, as always, Sanura makes them available on ALL layer options.

Another set from *Dreams*, this time in collaboration with LaLa FooFoo. The Lacey Tease comes with both colour options, black on white or white on black. The cute leggings are a new release from *Dreams* but only available in this colour combo from Operation Squeegee and LaLa FooFoo designed the superb matching ribbed tank to go with them.

This little tub is just too adorable from Slash Me Poses (/me poses). It suits my beach deck awesomely so I think it's going to become a permanent fixture there. And since I was out in the sun in my little tub I just HAD to have the bikini from SySy's Designs which was just a couple carts down from Slash Me poses. SySy's bikini comes in three other colour choices.

Fire GOOD!! have this summery little number, right beside my cart \o/ woohoo. The dress comes in flexi and sculpted versions. Also available are extra stockings packs sold seperately and these antlers with matching flowers. How adorable are they!

Sn@tch is at Operation Squeegee *does a little chair dance*. Ok, fangirl moment over. The Frankie Bikini set comes in three colours in the one pack and can be worn with or without the skirt. Also at the Sn@tch cart you'll find those cute little Shore Drive sandals with a a couple of flowers atop the toes. Too cute! Time to have some summer fun in my bikini so I hit the beach with the Beach Ball photo prop from [Lyndz-Matic]. All seven poses in the one ball. Just wear and click to change.

A Netherworld put together a super miniskirt dress, complete with shoes. Both colours AND shoes all in the one package. Skirt prim is in both sculpted and non sculpted versions. Wear it as is for a summery feel or throw some legging and a cami underneath and dress it up. Such a versatile little number.

All my purchases today were from vendors that advertised %100 of their sales going towards Operation Squeegee. There are also vendors offering %50 of their sales to the cause. It was so great to see so many talented designers offering up their merchandise for this wonderful cause. The merchants area officially opens to all on July 1st and will run for 2 weeks finishing on July 15th. Live music acts will perform on the Centre Stage throughout the two weeks plus many other activities planned. I hope you all take a few minutes to pop over and pick up a bargain or two to help donate to the cause. Or even pop a few linden in one of the donation buckets scattered around the sim.

And to end this post on a high, a secret hunt has been planned for Operation Squeegee. The 'Eleventy Hunt' (yes yes I know no such thing as eleventy) has 8 green ribbons scattered around the merchants area. Each ribbon containing some novelty from Operation Squeegee. All designed and donated from `*~Zanzibar creationZ~*` (yup me) and %100 of all ribbons bought, for $11L each) go towards donations to Operation Squeegee. So for $88L you can pick a handful of cute little novelties and knick knacks available only through Operation Squeegee and one off designs.

Operation Squeegee July 1st to 15th

Operation Squeegee will run from July 1st - 15th, and will have lots of events and publicity associated with it, as well as a vendor merchandise area with donated items for sale!

Funds raised through Operation Squeegee will go to The National Wildlife Federation. Funds that are donated to the federation will support the following efforts:

Development and deployment of the National Wildlife Federation's Gulf Coast Surveillance Teams, a volunteer network that is being organized to monitor the coast for wildlife impacted by the oil spill. Beyond the initial surveillance needed, this effort will then shift to long term volunteer restoration programs.
Restoration of vulnerable nesting and breeding grounds, as well as other delicate ecosystems found throughout the Gulf Coast for water birds, sea turtles and other animals.
Public education about the oil spill and its impacts on wildlife, including our online efforts at www.nwf.org/oilspill and informing the press and others about the impacts the oil spill is having on coastal communities and wildlife.
Policy work at the national and state level to support restoration of habitat in the Gulf Coast and better protection of our waters and coastlines. ~ As seen on the Operation Squeegee Blog.

Although I have closed `*~Zanzibar creationZ~*`, for the time being, I could not pass up an opportunity to make something for such a worthwhile cause as this.

Tank Dress coming to Dreams

Let me just say...I love this little dress. I got a message in SL yesterday from one happy kitty, Sanura, telling me she had just made her first dress. As well as telling me about her new dress she passed over a fat pack folder for me to check out the goods myself. What may appear to be a simple tank dress can be....just that. A tank dress to just chill out in.

The beauty of this dress, along with all Sanura's other designs at *Dreams*, is that it comes in ALL layers so you can mix it up or wear it just as a dress and not lose your tattoo underlayers. I decided to try out a few styles just to give you some sort of idea just how versatile this dress can be.

Although the dress is not yet released at *Dreams* I can tell you that if you want a sneak peak, Sanura will be putting out two dresses tomorrow for Humpday Happiness. A light blue and light pink dress will be available for 69L. When they are released fully you can purchase them individually for 100L or the rainbow fat pack of 8 colours for 400L. You can't go past a bargain like that.

What is DSN?

Upon going through my mountains of folders and finding that I 'had nothing to wear' today I decided it was time to sort my 'DSN' folder. I was talking with Bill at the time, him being newly introduced to the SL world had no idea what I was talking about. It was then during one of my outfit changes that, my RL housemate/SL Sister, Ember walked past my computer saying "Oooo cute, where did you grab that from"?. When I said it was a DSN gifty, she too looked at me like I had a third eye protruding from my brow. So it seems that it's not only just the 'noobs' that have no idea what DSN is.

DSN - Designer Showcase Network - is a group of designers that offer select items from their store as free gifts to anyone registered in their category with a DSN Kiosk. I checked this afternoon and there were currently 362 Designers registered as offering gifts to subscribers.

The process is all quite simple. You locate a kiosk (there's one here in one of my favourite boutiques) and click the sign. A pop up box appears on your screen and you select which group/s you would like to be registered in. You can select one or all. The choice is yours. Then sit back and wait for the designers to release new items into their DSN vendors, you then get said item delivered to you. If at any time you decide you don't want to receive the free gifts (like who would want to give up freebies, huh) all you do is locate a kiosk, touch it and remove your choices. Simple as that.

I very rarely shop on Xstreet. I'm more of a wander around SL and cruise the shops, get out and about type of shopper. But when I hear there is a sale on Xstreet, I am the first one there with my coin purse full.

Janie Marlowe, Owner of MISCHIEF (also branded as **Mis**) is having a sale exclusive to Xstreet. Her entire collection is for sale for only $30L each. That includes the fat packs. Every item ONLY $30L.

There are over 50 pages of products - 100's of items to choose from so there is bound to be something for every taste. I perused each and every item let me tell you. And I had trouble narrowing down my purchases to my budget. So just to give you a sneak peak as to what sort of things you can find in her listings, I have pictured my purchases below. Each pic has style credits below it rather than at the end of the post.

I hope you all find something you like. The sale is not on for much longer. (There is no end date given all I know is her group advertised sale for 'limited time') so hurry and grab a bargain while you can. And my apologies for my piccies. The Luck O' The Irish

I recently had the pleasure of being introduced to a laddy by the name of Mr Rob Moonites. (I took out the numbers from his name to make him look a little more 'normal'. You can thank me for that later Rob hahaha).

After spending days and hours laughing at the irishman's jokes - I find he has a store. And not only does he have a store, but he makes some pretty neat clothes, for both guys and girls. Guys will find an awesome selection of fine mens clothes in *FIR* (pronounced like fear, not fur). The ladies will find their goodies in *MNA* (I'm yet to get the pronunciation of this one down pat. But I believe it is something like muhnah). Rob was kind enough to share a bloggers goody pack with me so that I can share his awesomeness with you all.

The *MNA* Sleeveless Tee and the *MNA* Panties - shown above in red, green, brown and blue - make for a great 'lounge around the skybox' outift. The sleeveless tee's are not too plain and have their own touch of cute to them with the clover leaf sitting on the chest. The hipster panties also feature the clover leaf and some well made seam stitching.

I did a bit of mix and match here to save photo space and I ended up liking my mix and match so much I made outfit folders with my new designs. The *MNA* Hard Candy Blouse shown in white, black, blue and brown can be worn with or without the belt (as shown above). It features cute little puffy sleeve prims, collar prim and well designed textured seams. The *MNA* Candy Skirt shown in lavender, aqua, pink and mint looks just as good without the skirt prim to be worn as shorts. Each skirt has their own little stitched seam pattern on the back pockets (as shown above in lavender).

Wear Pink - Take a stand against bullying

Bullying happens when someone scares or hurts another person on purpose, physically, mentally, or emotionally. Usually, this happens on a repeat basis - the victim being attacked over and over, an unable - or afraid - to defend themselves.

Bullying can include physical violence, spreading bad rumors, purposefully excluding another person from a group or activity, teasing in a mean or inappropriate way, or even gathering others to "gang up" on others.

Cyberbullying happens electronically. This can include some of the categories of normal bullying, but can also include posting nasty rumors, pictures, or messages about others on blogs, forums, or other websites, or using another's name to pose as them and spread rumors about them via the internet.

YOU can make a difference! If you see someone being bullied and do nothing about it, you are just as guilty as the bully themselves. Turning a blind eye to any kind of abuse is only enabling the abusers to continue harming others. Speak up! Stand up! The more people are willing to stand up for what they believe in, the less power the bullies will have to abuse and control others.

So, please, take a a stand against bullying, in your First and Second Life. Bullying is not something only felt by school-aged children, but by millions of people worldwide - of all ages, genders, races...it knows no limits.

As the title suggests, this blog post is about shapes. We are all unique and each have our own different idea of an ideal shape and size.

RL stereotypes us and labels us depending on what we wear or how curvy we are. SL gives us a chance to be something we are not in RL.

When I first joined SL, a few years back, my avatar was very much just like the RL me. I'm not ashamed of the way I look, but I am labelled as "voluptuous", "curvy", "full figured" and sometimes just plain "fat". I have curves. I have a bit of meat covering my bones. I'm just plain old average me. I would rather have this body than that of most of the top paying supermodels of the world.

And yet I was ridiculed even in SL as being "big". So just like most of the people I know - I followed the crowds and I made my avatar, what I thought, sexy. She had a nice perfect skin with no blemishes or scars. She looked like she needed a feed of a good cheeseburger or 10. She was attractive, or what SL classes as attractive. I followed the clothing trends, depending on what was big in the blogs. I "kept up with the Jones'".

Only recently have I started dressing just like me. Wearing the daggy jeans and tops and not caring if I'm colour co-ordinated or if I even have shoes on. I've started to regress back to the old me. And the best part - I really couldn't care if someone thinks my avatar is "fat".

I have hips, a belly, there is no defineable gap between the tops of my thighs, my boobs aren't exactly perky - but I'm me. I'm still the same person that has fun with my friends. I can still joke and carry on. Does it really matter if you can park a semi between my thighs, bounce a coin of my flat, taught stomach, fit into a child sized T Shirt or if my stomach overhangs my panty line and my boobs sag a little. What about if I were dressed as a unicorn or a dragon? It does not matter what my avatar looks like, I am still the same person.

I was having a conversation with a top "model" of SL recently who, I admire for not being afraid to speak her mind, came out and made the comment "OMG you're ass is huge". Now I was in my normal avatar at the time. For those of you that have seen my avatar or even pics on my blog. Is my ass 'huge'? So if my everyday avatar was classed as having a huge ass. I would hate to see what she said about the more realistic me avatar.

We are all individuals and the joys of SL is that most clothing prim attachments are mod or have resize scripts. So even though you would normally look in the window of a fashion shop and wish they made their clothes in your size - you don't need to worry about that now. Make it fit you. Don't make you fit the prim.

Be who you want to be. Be you. Don't just follow the crowds and become a neko if wearing furry ears and paws makes you feel funny. Don't wear pointy ears if you are conscious of people staring at them. Just be yourself.

I'm a comfort shopper. Some people are comfort eaters or smokers or drinkers when they are down. Me - I shop! And I'm so glad I did this time. Check out my awesome new buys.

I was on the hunt for a hoodie. A cute hoodie that wasn't "too girly" but wasn't "too masculine". Low and behold I end up buying a dress and a complete outfit including shoes and a hairstyle to match.

I TP'd to this cute little shop I have never heard of, **DP** yumyum. (is it wrong that my mind instantly went to the gutter?) This place is AWESOME with a capital everything! In such a small, quaint little setting this place manages to grab your attention with their attention to detail on their surroundings and decorations AS WELL AS their products. I had to do the walk around twice. Once just to check out the area and the second time to shop.

My first buy(s) is this neat little Autumn/Winter outfit - yes it is that time for me in my part of the world. The **DP**yumyum romantic sweater (navy colour shown) comes with 2 sleeve prim options - short, with no shirt underneath showing (above) and long with frilly shirt sleeves (below). It also has the same options for the collar - plain, high turtleneck collar (above) and plain, high turtleneck collar with frilly shirt collar underneath (below). There is also the option of a belt tie in the same colour as the shirt prim layers (below). The textures on these sweaters is very high quality. Slightly faded around the seams and with a worn look about it. It certainly made me feel all cozy and warm. [also available in black, red and green]

To accompany my new jumper I grabbed a new pair of jeans. My instant reaction was to purchase the standard blue or black jeans. But then I had a second thought and went for something different. The *yumyum jeans: set05 are a faded tan stone-wash colour. The best part - you get two lengths in the pack. You can choose to wear them as shorts - with the prim cuffs for an autmny feel (above). Alternatively wear the standard length ones for a more rugged up wintery feel (below). The long length jeans come with prim cuffs - wear the jeans without the cuffs and your boots fit right over the top. Wear the cuffs on your jeans and your slip on shoes peek nicely out from underneath. There's a multitude of ways to wear just these two simple items. I was going to leave it at that and put on a nice pair of plain black shoes to finish off my outfit so went for a peek into some of the little stores on the side of the building. A leisurely stroll to complete my shopping trip - Hello KAO!

Small store with only a few items on the shelves - the likes of bikini's, dresses a skin or two and my KAO Suede Fringe Boots. To die for! And a perfect addition to my outfit. There are four colours to choose from and like the bad person I am I forgot to write down the proper names for the other colours. I purchased the ash colour to match my jeans but there are black, brown and a grey as well. Just like my sweater and my jeans the boots had two options to choose from. Tall or Short. The tall coming up to just under knee (shown below) and the short being lower mid calf length (shown above).

After feeling slightly better for having done my comfort shop for the day I figured I was safe to wander a bit more to look at the furniture and accessories scattered around the place. They were crying out to me I tell you. "Rors, buy me...buyyy meeeeee". How could I resist?

My last two purchases were the **DP**yumyum rose petal dress (in black) and the *barberyumyum* 19 (in black) hair style. I could almost just walk around with no shoes on in these socks/stockings that come with the dress. They are soooo cute with one being a little slouched as it has slipped over the knee and scrunched up material around the ankles. The dress itself is simple yet stunning. This can easily be a casual daily dress or dressed up for evening wear. With little shoulder frills and simple flowing skirt layers - it's just perfect. Also available in many other colours - plain and two tone.

Finding a hair that fits around my ears can be a challenge at times. I find I either have to go for a long style and just have my ears "poke through" the length hanging down over them. Or I need to modify a fair deal to not be growing hair "inside" my ear. I modded one piece on this hair style. That's right....ONE! It's a bun style with the bun being a hair-bow perched nice and high. a simple straight fringe with flexy strands falling gently from the temples and the base of the neck.

I still haven't found my hoodie though.

I would be Sanura Snowpaw. I cannot express just how much this woman means to so many people. She had a dream....and she made that dream come true in the form of her store, *Dreams*.

Not only is she talented in her designs, she is beyond a doubt on of the most loyal friends I have met in my time in SL, compassionate, kind, caring, funny, adorable and sexy.

To walk a day in her shoes in SL would be an experience and then some. This post came about from someone starting on plurk the - "If you could log in as me for a day, what would you do". It got me thinking about the friends I had on my list and what I would do if I were them. That's when I came across a folder I have set aside of blog packages received. Can you believe the generosity of this lady. She hands out her latest designs to god knows how many bloggers she has in her little black book. Just gives them away. All that hard work and hours she puts in.

So I find myself staring a folder full of the latest goodies at *Dreams*. Sanura has branched out from her collars and Tee's into piercings. This pack of lip rings are just too cute, with a charm to suit most styles, occasions and likes.

Sanura was asking the other day questions surrounding "Less Than Three". Now when she does this it is usually in regards to a new design. So she had me stumped as to what that could have to do with a new design. So I eagerly awaited the new release. And I love them. And of course as with all her designs she releases them in a wide range of colours to suit all tastes.

To match your lip rings why not grab a belly piercing. I'm not belly piercing kind of girl normally. I find most of the belly piercings in SL just don't suit me, are too big, too small, could stun a blind man with their bling or are too dull. Sanura hasn't gone overboard but these stand out.

If you could walk a day in anyones shoes I suggest you try this lovely ladies. Of course make sure you aren't allergic to cat fur since she has paws not shoes.

I Just Wanna Curl Up & Dye

Ever have one of those mornings where you want to curl up under your blanket and let the world pass you by? I've had a few of them lately.

After doing my post about the copybotted hair I was determined to go check out some of the shops that had been mentioned. One in particular was Curl Up & Dye. I went there for one purpose, and that was to buy myself the outlandish hairdo with the giant curlers.

Not only did I get my hairdo that I wanted but I had a look around the store, which by the way is like a little maze of corridors and stairs all leading to another room that you didn't see before, and ended up leaving with two outfits as well.

Considering I have been having "one of those mornings" almost every day lately, when I saw this outfit I just had to get it to accompany my new hair. The outfit itself does come with a hairstyle not quite as 'big' as the one shown.

The 'Angry Housewife' bathrobe and slippers comes with curling iron and hairdryer. And these little weapons are even scripted to draw (held in each hand as shown) or sheath (siting in the pockets of the robe as shown) and will even cause damage in the right sim.

My choice of hair was the 'Tangles' in cherry colour. You can have the brush hanging from the side tangle or not. Obviously the name gives it away, but this is the messy option of the curler looks at CU&D.

This is one woman you do not want to cross first thing in the morning before she has her coffee.

Now even though I was out shopping for hair I couldn't pass this outfit up. I have absolutely no idea where or even if I will ever wear it again. But I couldn't leave without taking it with me. The 'Confused, Man I Sorta Feel Like a Woman' comes with a male/female skin and the clothing - Dress/Suit top, Skirt, Pants and shoes. CU&D also have a hair for this outfit in the store call Boy-Girl but I opted to wear my own. You don't have to wear the skin it comes with, as shown it still works perfectly fine with my normal skin.

Curl Up & Dye have a large selection of hair styles to suit just about any outfit plus clothing and accessories. You can pick up the outfit and the hair to match all in the one store.

An Apology

No more drama queen freak out from me. I would just like to formally apologise to Skills Hak for the way this turned out. It was not my intention to bring the system down as I have been saying from the beginning. Merely to get to the bottom of why I was branned wrongly.

After finally getting in to SL last night I was able to speak to Skills - who was very polite and understanding and we spoke at length about the situation which I am happy to say has been rectified.

I can resume my shopping without fear of being sent home again.
